On the recommendation of the Honorary Degree Committee, the Senate of St. Andrew’s College has selected Rev. George N. Ward to receive a Doctor of Divinity honoris causa degree at the College’s Spring convocation on May 29, at Augustana Lutheran Church in Saskatoon.

Rev. George N. Ward is being honoured for his work in pastoral ministry, as a Military Chaplain in the Canadian Armed Forces, as well as his work in addictions counselling.  George is a retired United Church minister who served in pastoral charges in Ontario, Manitoba, Alberta and Saskatchewan.  As stated in his nomination, George, “a virtual Energizer Bunny, deserves much credit for turning his own learning, often acquired through painful crises, into learning opportunities for others.”
