Accreditation
St. Andrew’s College is accredited by the Commission on Accrediting of the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada and is approved to offer the following degree programs by virtue of participation in the Saskatoon Theological Union: Master of Divinity (MDiv), Master of Theological Studies (MTS), Doctor of Ministry (DMin). The next comprehensive evaluation visit is scheduled for spring 2029.
St. Andrew’s College is approved for a comprehensive distance education program.
Statement of Educational Effectiveness
The Board of Commissioners requires accredited schools to publish a statement regarding the school’s educational effectiveness. St. Andrew’s College chooses to publish the following data:
Master of Divinity (81 credit hour, 3 year degree; 90 credit hour with practicum, 3 or 4 year degree)
- Time to graduation (2013 – 2016): 4-<6 years 64%; 6+ years 36%.
- Placement rate within one year of graduation (2013 – 2016): Vocational placement 100%
Master of Theological Studies (54 credit hour, 2 year degree)
- Time to graduation (2013 – 2016): <4 years 83%; 4-<6 years 0%; 6+ years 17%.
- Placement rate within one year of graduation (2013 – 2016): Vocational placement 50%, Still seeking a position 17%, Further Study 17%, Personal interest 16%
Doctor of Ministry (30 credit hour, 3 year degree)
- Time to graduation (2013 – 2016): <4 years 100%.
- Placement rate within one year of graduation (2013 – 2016): Vocational placement 100%
While the college currently meets the ATS Commission of Accreditation Standards of Accreditation, it has received a warning that it must address deficiencies in (educational and degree) evaluation and in supervised ministry experience. The college shall demonstrate compliance by June 2026.
